Wright’s is still OPEN!

Tuesday-Saturday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

In compliance with Executive Order 121 issued by Governor Roy Cooper on March 27, 2020, Wright’s Backyard Birding Center is classified as an essential business under the following qualifiers: Feed Store and Pet Store.

We are taking the following steps to protect our customers and staff:

  • Drive-up service is available for all orders. (see details below)
  • Free delivery for all orders over $25.00 within 15 miles of Wright’s Backyard Birding Centers. (see details below)
  • Shopping is still allowed in the store, but we are asking people to be respectful of others and allow a little extra time for social distancing.
  • We also have plenty of hand sanitizer available.
  • We will continue to wipe down frequently touched surfaces every hour.

How the “Drive-up” Service works:
Call us at (336) 765-7823 when you are on your way, or when you are pulling up to the shop and let us know what you would like us to bring out to you. We willtotal up your order and you can thenpay over the phone with a card, or have a check or cash ready at pickup. We will then run out your order to your car.

How the Delivery Service works:
Call us Tuesday-Saturday before 5 pm at (336) 765-7823 and let us know what you would like delivered. We will total up your order and you can then pay over the phone with a card, or have a check ready at delivery.

                                                                
Your safety is our number one concern, our drivers know to wash their hands, and use hand sanitizer before and after all deliveries. We are also happy to leave your order on your porch to avoid any unnecessary exposure.

October’s Bird Walk

We had a nice walk this morning with 35 species, highlights included a group of around 120 Cedar Waxwings, a pair of Blue-headed Vireos and this beautiful Red-Shouldered Hawk!

July’s Bird Walk

July’s Bird Walk Recap:

We had a great bird walk at Tanglewood Park on Saturday, July 20th! We had around 13 people join us and saw 39 species! The most exciting bird was a Barred Owl right off trail!! Some other highlights included; Green Heron, Common Yellowthroat and a couple of Eastern Wood-Pewees! Overall we had a great walk for this time of year!
