We had a fairly slow bird walk this morning with 31 species. We had great looks at a Ruby-crowned Kinglet and Sharp-shinned Hawk. I have attached the checklist below, thanks again for coming on the walk! http://ebird.org/ebird/view/checklist/S40570529
We had a great turn out at today’s bird walk and, despite the heat, we had a lot of great birds!
Thank you to everyone that joined us!
We had great looks at Blue Grosbeaks, Indigo Buntings, a Grasshopper Sparrow and Common Yellowthroats! (photo below):

Last weekend Nathan and I decided to make a crazy trip to Tupper Lake, NY to look for a Ross’s Gull that had been seen up there. Unfortunately we did not see the gull, and it still hasn’t been seen by any other birders since Thursday!
We did have a nice treat on our way home, we stopped at a place in Virginia and saw this awesome Long-eared Owl!
